Selena Gomezhas a fiancé!

The singer announced her engagement to producer Benny Blanco in December 2024, showing off her sparkly engagement ring onInstagram. “forever begins now..,” she wrote in her caption.

The news comes one year after sheconfirmed her romanceBlanco when she liked a series of posts about the pair dating. Under one post from PopFaction that read, “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is in a Relationship,” Gomez simply commented, “Facts.”

“He is my absolute everything in my heart,” she wrote in a different comment, before replying to a fan, “then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end.”

In November 2024, Blanco told PEOPLE that mornings are his favorite time to spend with Gomez. “I have atrue best friendthat I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life,” he said.

Despite not going public with their relationship until late 2023, the two have actually known each other for a few years, previously working on the 2019 hit English-Spanish single, “I Can’t Get Enough.”

Blanco was born on March 8, 1988, in Reston, Virginia, making him a Pisces. This is certainly very in line with Blanco’s career as Pisces tend to be very musically inclined.

He’s a producer

After co-producing and co-writing a number of hit singles in the late 2000s, Blanco has made a big name for himself in the music industry.

He’s also an artist in his own right, releasing his debut single as a lead artist titled “Eastside” in 2018 alongsideHalseyand Khalid.

Blanco has worked with some A-list artists through the years, with some of the most notable being Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Kesha, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Kanye West as well astwo of Gomez’s exes, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber.

He has won awards

In addition to working with some big names, Blanco has won notable awards. In 2013, he was a recipient of the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and in 2017, he won the iHeartRadio Producer of the Year Award. He has also won theBMI Songwriter of the Year Awardfive times.

He added another accolade to the list in 2024, when he won theBMI President’s Award.

He founded two labels

In collaboration with Interscope Records, Blanco hasfounded two labels, Mad Love Records and Friends Keep Secrets.

He has known Selena Gomez for a few years

Blanco previously worked with Gomez in 2019 on the single “I Can’t Get Enough.” In addition to producing the track, Blanco also sang the English-Spanish track alongside Gomez, Tainy and J Balvin.

In December 2023, Gomez seemed to confirmed their relationship for the first time as she liked a series of posts about them dating. She then shared a selfie of the two of themto her own Instagram Story.

Though his relationship with Gomez is no longer new, Blanco told PEOPLE that they still “go all out for each other” when it comes to date nights.

“One time Sel was like, ‘Oh, I want to take you on a date.” We drove somewhere and she had rented out a whole botanical garden for me," he said. “She also likes something so simple. For Valentine’s Day, I got her Taco Bell, I made her movie-theater nachos, I found her favorite pickles from Texas and I deep-fried them for her. Then [I had] all her candies and Hot Cheetos.”

Gomez shared the news that she and Blanco were engaged with a post on Instagram that showed off her diamond ring.

The carousel also included photos of the couple together as they celebrated their engagement, and Gomez can be seen sitting on a picnic blanket alongside a feast from Taco Bell.

Gomez’s friendTaylor Swiftwas one of the first to offer up her congratulations, commenting, “yesI will be the flower girl.”
