“LikeWe’re Still the Millers?” Poulter says, when asked if a sequel was ever in development. “There was, I think. I don’t think it’s gonna happen. I mean, no one else is [but] I’m too old now. But, yeah, it was a fun time.”

“People are really nice about the movie,” Poulter says. “I’m always shocked at just how many people have seen the film. It’s really nice that people watch it and seem to enjoy it. I was certainly very lucky to be in it.”

The Hollywood Reporterreported in 2014 that New Line Cinema was moving forward with a sequel toWe’re the Millers, but the movie never materialized.
Aniston said she was asked to return for a sequel in a2023 interviewforMurder Mystery 2, when asked about sequels she has been recruited for. “We’re the Millers, that didn’t happen,” she said at that time. “I don’t remember what happened, but I think there was talk of that.”
More than 10 years afterWe’re the Millers, Poulter is embracing another type of dark comedy withDeath of A Unicorn, in which he portrays a member of a wealthy family that owns a pharmaceutical company and seeks to monetize the health benefits of a unicorn’s horn. The movie also starsPaul Rudd,Jenna Ortegaand Richard E. Grant, among others.
“It was the clownclass, like everyone was a clown,” Poulter says ofDeath of a Unicorn’s cast. “It was actually the best. No one took it seriously in the sense that— we all worked hard, right? And we all were very lucky to be there… But we all had so much fun and really leaned into the fun of it and the play. I really fell in love with the process of comedy again ‘cause I hadn’t done it in a while.”
