In theInvincibleseason 3 finale, Mark battles Conquest in a brutal fight that destroys much of the city and results in countless casualties.
During the chaos, Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs) is nearly killed, but a mysterious burst of pink light revives her, and she soon learns she has gained a new immortality power.
By the end, Mark manages to defeat Conquest but is hospitalized shortly after. While in the hospital, Mark shares a heart-to-heart with his half-brother Oliver (Christian Convery), where he admits to changing his perspective on killing.
Meanwhile, Cecil (Walton Goggins) secretly imprisons Conquest deep underground, and reveals his plan to gain information about the upcoming Viltrumite invasion when he wakes up. Even more shocking, he is also storing the bodies of the dead Mark Graysons from the Invincible War.

Mark’s story isn’t over just yet! During a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024,Invinciblecreator Kirkman announced that the series was renewed for season 4, perVariety.
However, Kirkman hopes that won’t be the end for the show.
“I think the goal is to adapt the entire comic. I would also like to kind of meander a little bit and add some stories along the way that aren’t in the comic, because I think that’s fun,” he toldThe Directin February 2025.
“Hopefully the show’s going to be around for a while,” Kirkman added. “Fingers crossed that we get to go for 11 seasons or more.”

Though no plot points have been confirmed, several story lines from the finale could carry over into season 4.
By the end ofInvincibleseason 3, Mark’s brutal fight with Conquest set the stage for the Viltrumite War in season 4. After shockingly telling Oliver that he won’t hesitate to kill anyone who threatens his family, Mark hints at embracing a darker side in the seasons to come.
If the series mirrors the comic, Eve’s malfunctioning powers in the end could hint at her future pregnancy. Meanwhile, Cecil’s secret storage of the dead Mark Graysons and imprisonment of Conquest suggest that there is plenty more conflict to come.

While an official release date has yet to be announced, Kirkman toldVarietyin October 2023 that the gap between the first two seasons — April 2021 and November 2023 — “is the longest gap we should ever have.”
“It may be every 18 months or 16 months or 13 months or every 12 months,” he said. “We’re still trying to figure that out.”
The creator also told The Direct that the goal was “making sure that the show comes out as regularly as possible.”
The show’s second season was released in November 2023, while the third debuted in February 2025.
