“It was great to just be around family and just try to be normal for a second. But it’s like…when you do that, then you’re like, all right, something’s missing.”

Stewart’s “highlight” of her Spain vacation was a sans-kids activity, however. “The highlight was when we went to a winery,” the Liberty star shares. “It was just a fun experience for Marta and I to get away to just try some different wines and enjoy each other’s company.”

Unrivaled’s debut season has been nothing short of impressive. WNBA stars likeAngel ReeseandCameron Brinkhave praised the new league for its player accommodations and salaries, which offer them the opportunity to make money during the WNBA offseason that doesn’t require them to play in international leagues.

“It’s been an amazing success,” Stewart says of the inaugural season. “I think not only are you getting competitive play on the court, you have great fan engagement. It seems like there’s fans that are constantly traveling from out of town almost every single weekend.”

“I think the WNBA is extremely supportive of what we’re doing here at Unrivaled, and I think obviously to be able to keep our players home, to be in a different market than an average WNBA city, it’s important that we’re able to grow the fan base and for each player to individually build their brand.”

Between basketball and parenthood, Stewart needs to stay ready for anything, which is why she lends her time to representing Clif Bar, a brand she says she genuinely “believes in.”

“If you ever see me in the games, I’m havingBloksall the time, which are the energy chew, just like the quick hits to help give me an extra burst in the game. As athletes, you always need to be feeling the right way, and with Clif, I know that I am.”
