One New York City dog found a way to trick one of his owners.
In aviral TikTok, Sisian Sadler is seen struggling to carry her 70-lb. goldendoodle, Archie, through the streets of New York City. The pup refused to continue his walk with Sisian due to a cut on his paw. But the plot twist came when her husband, Alan, arrived to help, only to find Archie walking just fine.
“He stopped in the middle of the intersection and just laid down in the middle of the crosswalk and just went on his back,” Sisian exclusively tells PEOPLE of the moment. “I was like, this is bad because he let me carry him and he doesn’t like being carried.”
But Sisian, who stands at 5 feet tall, was determined to get Archie back home, so she embarked on a three-block journey, carrying her furry friend in her arms. “I did the first two and every block I would take a break. He wanted to get down and also, I’m so tiny. I could barely hold him,” she notes.
Realizing the task at hand was too difficult, Sisian called her husband Alan for help. When Alan arrived on the scene, he was met with an unexpected sight.
“When he’s walking towards me and I’m carrying the dog, I heard him chuckle because I don’t think he realized what I meant when I said I’m carrying him,” Sisian recalls.

Sisian passed Archie to Alan, only for the dog to miraculously recover and start walking normally, a moment documented in the viral clip. Though Archie resumed walking, Sisian assures that the pup was indeed injured but is now okay.

Despite Archie’s size compared to Sisian, he’s actually smaller than they expected. “What’s funny is Archie’s actually the runt of his litter. His dad is a red golden retriever and his mom is a white poodle and we thought we would be getting an 85-lb. dog. So 70 lbs. is actually tiny, but so am I,” she shares.

The bond between Sisian and Archie is palpable, as she has trained him to be of comfort to others. “He’s actually a certified service animal,” Sisian reveals. “I really want to take him to hospitals and elderly homes.”
She describes Archie as “an angel on Earth” and notes his unique personality. “He’s such a good boy, but when he turned 3, I got to see some of his stubbornness that comes from that golden retriever side, which I love.”
While the Sadlers focus on being newlyweds and dog parents, Sisian encourages others to get a dog if they plan to have children in the future.
