“I had no idea how emotional my facial expressions were at the moment!” Mollah tells PEOPLE. “I was completely in shock, so I didn’t even realize what was happening until I saw the photos; my face said it all. That’s the beauty of having a fantastic photographer to capture that special moment. She truly caught every little emotion I didn’t even know was there.”

Mollah posted a video onTikTokon Feb. 4, comparing how she thought she would react to her surprise engagement to how she actually reacted. “What can I say? I’m very theatrical,” she captioned the post, which amassed nearly 670,000 views and 125,000 likes.

Yun proposed in “a true winter wonderland moment” in January in Atlanta. He had been planning the proposal for an entire year, but never expected it to snow more than three inches that weekend.

“Jason was freaking out, wondering if he’d have to pull the plug and postpone, but somehow, against all odds, everything fell into place,” Mollah says.“What could have gone wrong didn’t. It was pure magic — a fairytale proposal in the middle of a winter wonderland.”

Mollah, who thought she was attending a friend’s wedding, had no idea that she would be getting engaged.

“To be honest, there was a 0.00005% chance of me wondering if it would be a proposal — a woman’s intuition is NEVER wrong, but Jason did such a great job of keeping it a secret,” she says. “I’m honestly hard to surprise, so I was completely shocked when it happened.”

“As we were walking toward the designated area, I was nagging him because I noticed it was empty, with no cars, signage or people there. I started worrying we had the wrong location,” she continues. “But then, Jason slowed his pace, turned around and grabbed my hands. That was the moment I knew for sure, and then I completely blacked out from the shock.”

While her engagement photos weren’t what she expected them to look like, Mollah and her fiancé “love” them.

“Jason has always embraced how expressive I am, and it’s one of the qualities he loves most about me,” Mollah says. “Honestly, my eyes will always do the talking for me — they never lie, haha.”

The soon-to-be bride and groom attended the same college, were both born in New York City and lived in the same area, but their paths didn’t cross until 2022.

“Talk about right place, right time,” Mollah says. “We met on Hinge at a point where we were both about to give up on love. After our second date in 2022, I just knew he would be my lifetime partner. I’m Bangladeshi-American, and he’s Korean-American, so we come from two very different backgrounds. I had my worries about navigating cultural differences, but it’s been so worth it. I’m beyond excited to merge our two worlds and continue capturing our love story.”
