The Rock featured in WWE games then and now

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnsonhas a long history in the ring.

There’s no understating how far Johnson, 52, has come in his nearly 30-year wrestling career. And WWE fan account @90sWWE offered a visual representation of thetransformation on X, using wrestling video games to support the point.

The Rock’s current likeness will be featured in the upcomingWWE 2K25, out in March. Teasers of the game show The Rock looking impeccably close to his real, current look, showing how far both he and video game graphics have come.

Johnson debuted in WWE in 1996 and took on “The Rock” persona, becoming one of pro wrestling’s most successful stars, winning 10 world championships throughout his career.

JohnsontoldthePivotpodcast in 2023 that after getting cut from the Canadian Football League he had “seven bucks” to his name and decided that perhaps following his family’s legacy in pro wrestling was the right move for him, as well.

“The very first day of training … I was in love,” Johnson toldPivot. “In a way, wrestling did save my life.”

The third-generation wrestler has also kept the sport in the family.In 2022, his daughter Simone, 23, made herWWE debuton NXT. After some time in the ring, Simone — known within the WWE as Ava — began exploring her other talents within the organization.

Ava was made the on-screen assistant toShawn Michaels, Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative. Less than a year later, she was named General Manager of NXT, making her the youngest general manager in WWE history.
