Zoe Saldaña Reinvents Her Wardrobe in Dark Red Ruffled Gown and Sheer Opera Gloves for Oscars 2025

Zoe Saldañais celebrating her Academy Award nomination in style at the2025 Oscars.

Stopping on the red carpet to chat with E!, Saldaña praised the fashion duo for always putting creativity first. “I just have to show up bright and early and just in great spirits,” she said.

For glam, Saldaña worked with makeup artist Vera Steimberg. In an exclusive statement shared with PEOPLE, the beauty pro says she wanted to create a look that embraced “Zoe’s natural beauty and enhance her eyes and skin.” She also focused on using “natural tones” to complement the actress' gown.

“My inspiration always comes after I have the chance to take a look at the dress," says Steimberg, who used a powerhouse lineup of Armani beauty hero products, including theLuminous Silk Foundation, theLuminous Silk Cheek Tintin “Delicate Mauve” (a dusty rose shade) and thePrisma Glass Hydrating Lip Glossin “Candy Halo” (a high-shine pink).

After the carpet, Saldaña won a statuette against fellow nomineesMonica Barbaro(A Complete Unknown),Ariana Grande(Wicked),Felicity Jones(The Brutalist) andIsabella Rossellini(Conclave).

The actress attended the ceremony in achic one-sleeve Saint Laurent velvet gownthat featured a bejeweled ruffle at the neckline.

She paired the look with Saint Laurent platform sandals and accessorized with sparking diamond Cartier earrings and a Cartier bracelet, both from 2000.

During her acceptance speech, she thanked her community of friends and coworkers and shared her appreciation forEmilia Pérez.

“I believe that everybody has the right to be who they are andEmilia Pérezis about truth and it’s about love, and I think that us as actors now more than ever before we really have to tell stories that are beautiful and thought provoking and live within the spectrum of artistic freedom,” she said.

Earlier in the month, she scored another win when she attended the2025 BAFTAson Feb. 16. In ablack lace Saint Laurent gown, she accepted the award forbest supporting actress.

Saldaña made another show stopping appearance at the2025 Critics Choice Awardsduring which she wore anopen-back red silk Saint Laurent gown with matching heels. At the eventshe won the award for best supporting actress in a movie.
